Harry Bolston was a convicted murderer who went after descendants of the jurors from his trial.

Harry Volk was born in 1928. When Volk was 17, he had his heart set at going to the Metropolis Conservatory on a scholarship. However, his teacher recommended another student for the scholarship. Volk snapped and killed the teacher's son, just like the teacher had killed his dream.

Volk was sentenced to life in prison. One of the jurors at his trial was none other than Hiram Kent. Volk spent the next five decades dreaming about getting revenge on the 12 jurors that convincted him.

By 2001, Volk had been released from prison. He had changed his name to Harry Bolston and was living in the Smallville Retirement Center. While out with a youth volunteer, Harry fell out of his wheelchair and into a meteor filled pond. Thanks to a mix of meteor rocks, electricity from his wheelchair and unknown contaminants in the pond, Volk's body reverted to his teenaged form.

Volk felt that fate had given him a second chance. However, rather than turning over a new leaf, Volk set out to fulfill his lifelong dream of revenge against the 12 jurors. As all were now dead, he would go after their offspring. He killed the son of one of the jurors and tried to kill the granddaughter of another. However, Clark Kent stopped him before Volk could kill her. After that, Volk was taken to the Smallville Medical Center, where his body reverted to that of an old man. As nobody suspected that the young man who had been arrested and this old man were the same person, Volk was returned to the Retirement Center.

Still wanting revenge, Volk recreated the original accident and once more became young. His next target was Jonathan Kent, but when he wasn't home, Volk changed his plan to Jonathan's wife, Martha. Volk chased her into a grain silo, where Martha pulled a lever and they were both buried in grain. Martha survived, thanks to her son, but Volk perished and his corpse reverted to the appearance of an old man.
