Quote1 I used to suffer from a psychological disorder where there were-- there were two of me. One was the Harvey that you see sitting before you, begging for his life, and the other was a rogue, reckless version, who, at the time, I didn't know how to control. Quote2

Harvey Dent is the charismatic, headstrong, and idealistic district attorney of Gotham City, which has a dark split personality called Two-Face. He is also the biological father of Duela Dent.

Origins

Harvey's father suffered from identity dysmorphia. He brutalized Harvey for years, and then he would have no memory of it, making Harvey doubt his own sanity. The trauma caused Harvey to develop a split personality, which spoke to him in his dreams. One day, this personality took over and killed Harvey's father, making it look like an accident. Harvey had no memory of it.

Years later, Harvey went to law faculty and became a district attorney in Gotham City. The personality reappeared again and he had an affair with the socialite Rebecca March and the Arkham Asylum inmate Jane Doe, with the latter he had a daughter named Duela, unknown to Harvey. At some point, Harvey started therapy with Dr. Chase Meridian and became friends with Bruce Wayne and his adopted son Turner.[1][2][3]

Abilities

Weaknesses

  • Genetic Identity Dysmorphia: Harvey Dent and his "dark side" are two distinct personalities trapped within the same body. They are able to communicate with each but can also withhold information from one another if it so decides.[1][4]

Equipment

Transportation

  • Motorcycle: a custom Ducati XDiavel from (maybe) 2016 that's gone through many modifications.

Weapons

  • Gun

  • Harvey's trigger piano music is Mozart's "Fantasia in D Minor, K.397". James Stoteraux (one of the showrunners): "I think it's from the adagio -- but not 100% sure on that. Our composer David Russo did an arrangement to make it a bit off kilter & imperfect -- almost like a child rehearsing the piece as an echo of young Harvey practicing the piano in the story he told Dr. Meridian."
