Synopsis for "The Way of the Warrior, Part 3: Storm Over Thanagar"

The Justice League lands on a devastated Thanagar to repair their damaged ship. Hawkman leads a part of the team to establish a perimeter when they encounter what appears to be a squad of winged Thanagarians, but it turns out to be corpses strapped to flying equipment. One of them, however, is alive, and he tells the League that there are Thanagarian prisoners in the temple. Hawkman, shocked to see there are Thanagarians still alive, leads the team into the temple, and they fight a horde of Leechuns. Katar and Guy Gardner find and rescue the Thanagarian prisoners, defeating the Leechun colony.

Later on, the Justice League continues destroying five Leechun hives and rescuing nearly a thousand prisoners. Before departing, the Thanagarians ask Katar to stay and lead them to reform the planet, but Katar rejects the offer, fearing that his stay might mean their second destruction. With their ship repaired, the League leaves Thanagar, and Katar leaves his home in the past, never to return.
