History
Helen Jordan was the wife of District Attorney Larry Jordan, who was also the mystery man Air Wave. They had a son together, whom they named Harold ("Hal" for short). One day, a criminal named Joe Parsons, who was convicted by Larry Jordan, broke into the Jordans' home and held Helen and her son hostage. Larry tried to protect his family, but his Air Wave suit malfunctioned and he was fatally shot by Parsons. A grieved Helen briefly wore the Air Wave suit and assumed her husband's identity to avenge his murder. She brought Parsons to justice and put away the Air Wave suit, which would later be passed on to Harold.[3]
Notes
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
