• Many of John's relationships mentioned in this issue have happened off-screen between many Hellblazer storylines:
  • According to John, he met Mandy in 1979, probably during his period away from Ravenscar;
  • John has dated Mary around Summer 1987, some time between the election of Margaret Thatcher on June 11 and his journey to the United States of America; he then dated Tess around Autumn 1987, after his return from the USA but before the kidnapping of his niece Gemma;
  • John mentions having dated Keeley in 1988 which could only have happened between being taken over by Swamp Thing to conceive his daughter Tefé and discovering Nergal's name;
  • According to John, he met Annabel in 1993. This could only have happened after he was left by Kit Ryan in July but before becoming a homeless man around early Fall and facing the King of the Vampires in December.
