Notes
- As also mentioned in the issue, Chas' latest appearance in the present occurred in Hellblazer #228, the epilogue of the The Red Right Hand storyline, which takes place one year and a half before this story. During the gap between his appearances, he reconciled with his wife, Renee.
- Chas states that Renee is both angry (as a consequence of the Out of Season and Reasons to be Cheerful storylines) and grateful to Constantine (because of the events of John Constantine - Hellblazer: All His Engines). However, his words may suggest that the latter storyline is more recent than the former two, which is actually false.
- This issue is reprinted in Hellblazer: The Roots of Coincidence.
Trivia
- Constantine and Chas also reminisces about many events of their lives:
- Their first adventure, where John "freed" Chas from his mother and her evil monkey, from the flashback of Hellblazer #84;
- John losing all of his original friends from the Newcastle Crew;
- John saving Chas' life by defeating the Coopers crime gang during the Son of Man storyline;
- Reene leaving Chas during the Reasons to be Cheerful storyline;
- John rescuing Chas' granddaughter, Trish, from Beroul in John Constantine - Hellblazer: All His Engines;
- Averting the Empathy plague during the The Red Right Hand storyline;
- John helping Pearly Grey in the In at the Deep End storyline and being rewarded by the crime lord in Hellblazer #232–Hellblazer #233.
