Henry Claridge was a wealthy citizen of Gotham City who was the earliest known victim of the Joker.
History
His son, John, was also killed by the Joker years later.[1]

- Henry Claridge was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, first appearing in Batman #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Henry Claridge first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Batman (Volume 3) #95 by James Tynion IV and Jorge Jiménez.
- However, he was previously mentioned in Batman (Volume 2) #13.
