All you hear today is, "How do we live in a world without Superman?" Well, some of us already had to. Some of us watched as everything we had, everything we loved, was lost.

Henry "Hank" Henshaw is the Cyborg Superman was one of four successors after the perceived death of Superman.
History
The Death of Superman
Henshaw was an astronaut aboard the Excalibur space shuttle, along with three additional crew mates, including his wife, Terri Henshaw. The astronauts of the Excalibur were repairing a damaged satellite while Doomsday was on a collision course with both the satellite and Earth. Henshaw and the crew attempted to escape the destruction of the satellite as debris preceding the main asteroid containing Doomsday began to tear the structure apart, with Hank confident that Superman would save them. The crew of the Excalibur all perished, being sucked into the vacuum of space when the shuttle broke apart, while Hank was struck by Doomsday's asteroid.
Hank's body was claimed by Darkseid and brought back to Apokolips; his mind transferred into a cyborg body which vaguely resembled Superman. Darkseid brainwashed Henshaw, forcing him to believe that it was entirely Superman's fault that his wife and crew were killed, before ordering him to return to Earth.
Reign of the Supermen
Hank returned to Earth and began acting as Superman, in accordance with Darkseid's orders. Henshaw is one of four entities acting as Superman, following the death of Kal-El at the hands of Doomsday, the others being Superboy, Steel and the Eradicator. He made his first public appearance redirecting a South Kasnian missile off of its trajectory to North Kasnia to explode harmlessly in space.
Cyborg Superman came to Metropolis to attend Lex Luthor's public unveiling of his clone of Superman, Superboy, where he did battle with the Eradicator to protect both Lois Lane and Luthor. The battle ended quickly with the Eradicator leaving the area. Cyborg Superman visited Lois, following her expose revealing the fact that Superboy is a clone created by Luthor and questioning if all the new Supermen are fakes, where she told Hank that she knows that he is not the man she loved.
Henshaw was made security detail for the President of the United States' commemoration and launch of the new Justice League Watchtower. Following a swarm of Parademons attacking the event, Cyborg Superman jumped in to protect the President at the last moment leading her hold an event to declare him the "true" Superman. Hank visited the grave of his wife where Darkseid reached out to him, ordering him to set his plans in motion. At the event, Hank, as Superman, declared that he could grant the people a means to defend themselves, transforming any volunteers into members of his newly dubbed Cyber Corps, using a Mother Box concealed underneath the symbol of the House of El on his chest.
After recruiting a sufficient number of individuals into the Cyber Corps, Cyborg Superman initiates Darkseid's plan from inside the Justice League Watchtower, utilizing the Corps to create and open a Boom Tube in Metropolis through which a massive fleet led by the Ruler of Apokolips himself may travel. However, Lois, who has deduced Cyborg Superman's true identity, informs him that, if he allows Darkseid to arrive on Earth, he will be unable to exact revenge on Superman personally. Realizing this, Henshaw destroys the Mother Box in his chest and commands the Cyber Corp to close the Boom Tube, changing his focus to Lois. As the Watchtower ascends into orbit, Kal-El arrives in a Kryptonian ship and engages Cyborg Superman in battle, but quickly finds he is clearly outmatched as the vast majority of his strength has not returned, following his revitalization. Hank dominates the battle until Lois opens the solar shielding around the Watchtower, bathing Superman in sunlight and allowing him to plunge the data crystal containing the Eradicator into Henshaw's robotic head. With the two entities now merged, Hank's mind is quickly eradicated by the AI.
