Hippogriffs are legendary creatures with the front half of an eagle and the hind half of a horse. Not to be confused with Pegasi or Griffins.
History
The hippogriff that guards the Palace of Dreams in the Dreaming along with a wyvern and a gryphon, despite its name, has the appearance of a winged horse.
