Hippolyta is the queen of Paradise Island and was chosen to become a Green Lantern by the Guardians of the Universe.

History

After Bruce Wayne defied the Guardians' edict to deal with the crisis on the planet Regor IV, they recruited more members. She was sent alongside Barry Allen and Clark Kent against Sinestro. Together, they defeated him along with Binary Star and Star Sapphire and subdued them with her Lasso of Truth. however they also witnessed Alfred Pennyworth sacrifice himself by touching the Green Lantern Power Battery corrupted by Sinestro who took advantage of it to flee. Bruce promised to track Sinestro down and left the three Green Lanterns to use his cave and resources for their operations.
