Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor, also known as the superhero Fury, is the daughter of Princess Diana (Wonder Woman) and her husband General Steve Trevor and a founding member of the superhero team Infinity, Inc..
History
Origins
Hippolyta, known as Lyta, was the daughter of Princess Diana (Wonder Woman) and her husband General Steve Trevor, born with superhuman powers based on her mother's Amazonian nature. Named after her maternal grandmother, Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons, Hippolyta grew up in relative peace and security under the tutelage of her parents, a well-known superhero and one of the most respected military leaders in the United States.[1]
Joining the Justice Society
Hippolyta remained mostly in the shadow of her famous parents until young adulthood, when she actively attempted to pursue crimefighting by joining her mother's former superhero team, the Justice Society. Despite her mother's support, Hippolyta was rejected along with several other applicants for being untested and, some stated, too young.[2]
Undaunted, Lyta, the other rejected members, and three younger Justice Society members (Power Girl, the Huntress and the Star-Spangled Kid) formed their own supergroup known as Infinity, Inc..[3] This organization consisted of many of the direct children and successors of the Justice Society members. Despite their youth, the team proved their effectiveness when the Justice Society was possessed by the Stream of Ruthlessness and they defeated their elder heroes.[citation needed] Prior to and during her time in Infinity, Inc., Lyta became romantically attached to Hector Hall, who was then going by the code name of Silver Scarab.[2]
After the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Lyta's origins and history were altered due to the compression of the multiverse into a single universe; in the new, reset universe, she became Hippolyta Trevor-Hall, the child of Helena Kosmatos.[citation needed]

- This version of Fury, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–1986 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the 2022-2023 Dark Crisis event. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
- Although Lyta first appeared in Wonder Woman #300, she did not appear as Fury until All-Star Squadron #25. Fury was revealed to be Lyta Trevor in Infinity Inc. #1.
