Hiram Kent was the father of Jonathan Kent.

Hiram Kent was born January 24, 1924.[1]

In 1945, Hiram served on the jury, that convicted a young murderer named Harry Volk.[2]

16 years later, Hiram and his wife had their only son, Jonathan Kent. Earlier that year, Hiram had helped a mysterious drifter. What Hiram never found out was that this action might've resulted in his family being chosen to care for the drifter's son, Kal-El.[3]

Hiram passed away in late December, 1980.[1]
