Hobby Robber is an enemy of Batman.
History
The Hobby Robber started a crime wave in Gotham City, stealing rare items from wealthy hobbyists. He first sent his men to steal a rare, giant golden coin for his collection, but this attempt was thwarted by Batman, Robin and Batwoman. After reading a newspaper about a crate of rare books being delivered to millionaire J.E. Newton, he made it his mens' next target. Little did he know, Batman and Robin had snuck into the crates in order to get the drop on the Hobby Robber and his gang. However, when Batman accidentally revealed himself through a groan, the Robber placed the two heroes in the pool in his room of model ships.
He activated the ships, having them fire at the duo. However, they managed to escape with Batwoman's help. Afterwards, Batman defeated the crimelord along with the rest of his gang, and the Robber was incarcerated in the Gotham State Penitentiary.

- This version of the Hobby Robber, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–1986 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the 2022-2023 Dark Crisis event. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
