Hollika Rahn was a member of the Green Lantern Corps.
History
Origin
Hollika Rahn grew up in the world of Rhoon, a planet divided between Science and Magic. Her parents were scientist, but they died in an accident over the sea. She survived, and she was saved by Avir, the Green Lantern sorceress of that world who later adopted as her daughter. Hollika grew up among the Sorcerers, and she inherited Avir's power ring, hiding the true origin of her powers, being a machine of Science instead of Magic.[1]
Green Magic
In time, she took part in the war between both factions, but she wanted to stop it without more bloodshed. In the middle of the battle, she saved a young scientist named Tahrk, who turned out to share Hollika's opinion about the war. After the battle, they tried to convince the Ministry of Science to stop the conflict, but with unsuccessful results: Hollika was banished from her land after the council discovered she helped an enemy escape, and the Ministry of Science dismissed Tahrk's petition to stop the war as being a mind trick of the sorcerers.[1]
Later, Hollika infiltrated the Ministry of Science and, with the help her friend Mikkin who let himself get captured, convinced Tahrk to desert his fellow scientists, including his father, and join her quest to stop the war.[2]
Darkstars
Following the (repeated) destruction of the Corps, Hollika lost her ring and abandon her career as Green Lantern. However, John Stewart invited her, along with other former Green Lanterns, to join the ranks of the Darkstars, which she eagerly accepted.[3]
She was ultimately killed on Benet-Hajj by Grayven, who carried out a genocidal rampage throughout various planets, killing multiple Darkstars.
Hollika Rahn was memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps.[4]
