History

Horten Spence was a photojournalist for Gothamite News. He was partnered with Vicki Vale and assigned to cover an expose on the recent Fever phenomenon hitting the streets of Gotham. The two reporters began scouting the schoolyards and encountered members of the Street Demonz - a gang of drug dealers responsible for the import and distribution of the narcotic. One of them attacked Vicki Vale, but Horten protected her. The experience drew Horten and Vicki closer together and the two shared a brief romance with one another.
