Synopsis for "The Brush That Could Haunt Men's Souls"
A sorcerer is asked to create a paintbrush for princess Elena. The sorcerer fashions the brush out hair from his own whiskers but enchants it with magic to make the paintbrush reveal the users true nature. The brush is presented to princess Elena as she paints her portrait. The portrait comes out with harsh scowling features that reveal Elena’s cruelty. She immediately orders the execution of the sorcerer and the paintbrush is passed down through history. It is purchased at auction by a comic book artist who uses it to trap a rival artist into admitting that he stole one of his cartoon characters. The brush is then thrown out on the street where it Is found by George Rogers who is looking to seek revenge from a man who cheated him out of a job. The man fashions a dagger out of ice and uses the brush to guide it as an arrow towards its intended target. Rogers murders his rival but in doing so the brush leaves an ink mark on a telephone book marking him as the murderer. The police are quick to pick up the clue and arrest Rogers right away. The apartment where the murder took place is abandoned only to be occupied by another criminal who is running away from the law. As he hides out in the apartment he finds the enchanted brush and takes it apart to fashion a fake mustache for himself. As he goes out in public he immediately receives attention from people who recognize that he is a dead ringer for Adolf Hitler. The police apprehend him and take him to jail.
