Synopsis for "Lafferty's Luck"

A peddler (who looks suspiciously like our host, Cain) sells a gunfighter a good luck charm and since he believes that his luck has changed he goes back to his old life as a hired gun. He does well until he gets into a gun fight with another man who is also wearing the same charm. His confidence deserts him and he is gunned down. The peddler is present at his demise and the man accuses him of crossing him. The peddler is bemused because he has sold dozens of the same charm.
