Synopsis for I... Vampire!: "Side Effects"

Andrew Bennett and reporter Maggie Carle are captured by scientist Allen Barr. It is revealed that his famous cancer cure never worked, it was simply a ploy to make humans poisonous to vampires. Carle is taken away for experimentation, and Bennett is imprisoned in a cage. He turns into a rat to escape, and realizes that the doctors are using hobos to make the serum. Each hobo is injected with something that turns them into a horrible spider-monster, creating enough cancer serum for one million humans. Bennett finally confronts Barr, and Barr is revealed to be a vampire trying to eliminate his competition. Carle rescues Bennett and knocks out Barr, revealing herself to be a vampire as well. She tosses Bennett a copy of the antidote, then returns to her masters in the Blood Red Moon. Bennett flies away from the burning laboratory, wondering why an agent of the Blood Red Moon would help him.
