The Praying Mantis Man was an entomologist and supervillain.
History
Hunter Mann experimented on ways to grow larger and heartier plants and animals. One such experiment with chlorophyl turned his skin green. He created an entire valley of oversized predators which attracted the attention of the Blue Beetle. Donning a costume, Mann attacked Beetle but he was defeated.[1] Mantis Man returned with a new plan to kidnap enough humans to start a small colony and destroy the rest of civilization with giant bugs. Beetle became aware of the plan and tracked Mantis to the Great Smoky Mountains where he put an end to Mantis Man's plans with a powerful bug spray.[2]
