The Hyperclan are a superpowered team of White Martians. They fought the original Justice League multiple times, but were defeated and eventually imprisoned.

History

The Hyperclan once tried to conquer the world by appearing as a new team of superheroes. However, they were defeated by the old Justice League, who revealed their true nature as White Martians to the world and brainwashed them into believing they were human. The Hyperclan regained their memories and attacked the League again, far more brutally this time. As punishment, the League imprisoned them on Earth Omega, a parallel world of fire and ash.[1]

Decades later, the Legion of Doom would free them from their prison, hoping to use them to kill and replace the Justice League, now made up of the children and successors of the heroes who defeated them. The Hyperclan decided the plan was clever, but saw no reason to follow the Legion's orders. They killed the Legion, then went on to capture the League and replace them, imprisoning them on Earth Omega.[2]

Disguised as the League, the Hyperclan would work to become beloved by the world, delivering humanitarian aid, rebuilding the Hall of Justice and making media tours. They also secretly stole Martian technology being studied in Earth laboratories and kidnapped scientists to build a device which would kill millions of humans and revert the remainder to a primitive state where the Hyperclan could rule over them as gods. However, the League escaped their prison and attacked before they could activate the device. The Hyperclan attempted to trick the League by impersonating the other members, but the League were able to see through their disguises due to information they had learned about each other. The Hyperclan were defeated and returned to their interdimensional prison.[1]
