I-Ching is a Chinese martial arts master who has trained many heroes, including the New Super-Man and Deathstroke.
History
I-Ching was born as the embodiment of the principle of Yin, while his twin, All-Yang, was the embodiment of Yang. When his brother refused to complete his training, I-Ching took up the mantle of both Yin and Yang.[2]
I-Ching become the embodiment of harmony, but it wasn't always that way. Long ago in the windy planes of Qinghal, twin brothers were born to a farmer, although the boys were identical in appearance, their paths couldn't be more different, the eldest of the All-Yang twins was instinctively prone to virtue and the younger of the I-Ching twins, vile.
In a particularly brutal incident involving an older boy in his village who ended up sending the second twin, I-Ching to a remote mountaintop monastery, the first brother could not bear to be separated from his twin, following him. When they arrived, the monks welcomed the twins as if they were old friends, as if they had known them all their lives, and the boys began to be trained in the art of Qi. Monks will never come before children naturally endowed with so much Qi and I instructed the twins to channel it, one of the monks considered that the good twin, All-Yang should work where he was most empty of yin, and the other monk instructed the vile twin , I-Ching considered chaotic, working his corrosive chaos with Yang, saying that Yin alone is evil, but chaos worked with yang can be creative and bring good things. Soon, the boys developed abilities far beyond those mastered by most humans. And one day, many years later, the brothers will have the revelation from the monks that they are reincarnations of yang and yin and that together they could help humans find balance, and that before completing the final stage of their training they should master a part of the yang and yin, which are intertwined in an eternal balance, the second brother, I-Ching, agrees, but the first brother, All-Yang, rebels after many years, claiming that the yin is nothing but a mere shadow from yang, the second twin continued with the teachings to master the principles of yang and yin, but the first twin disappeared after that and the brothers did not see each other for a long time.[2]
