Ian Randall is a meteor freak who can make copies of himself.
History
Early Life
Growing up in Smallville, Ian Randall was infected by meteor rock. This mutated his body and granted him a metahuman ability of bio-fission.[1]
Season Two
Desperate to get out of town, Ian began using this ability to take multiple classes, at the same time, hoping to get enough credits to graduate high school early and earn a scholarship to attend college.[1]
However, Ian's ambitions were in danger of falling apart, when the shop teacher at Smallville High School was going to give him a low grade. Ian responded by killing the shop teacher, while giving himself a better grade.[1]
While Ian had his hands full with classes, he decided to use his ability to try and hook up with both Lana Lang and Chloe Sullivan. However, this activity, combined with the murder of the shop teacher, attracted the attention of Clark Kent. When Lana and Chloe realized what was going on, Ian attempted to kill them, but was stopped by Clark.[1]
Season Three
After Ian was arrested, he was sent to Belle Reve. When Clark began visiting patient, Lex Luthor, Ian joined forces with Eric Summers and Van McNulty, to get revenge on Clark Kent and to escape Belle Reve.[2]
McNulty supplied them with meteor rock, which could weaken Clark. However, Ian responded by killing McNulty. Together with Eric, Ian was able to capture Clark, with them transferring Clark's powers to Eric. Eric then turned on Ian, knocking him out.[2]
