Ice Suwannarat was an agent of the previous version of Checkmate before it was subsumed by the Leviathan Organization.
History
Ice's missions with Checkmate often resulted in her clashing with Spyral agent Destiny Alston, as the two rival intelligence agencies independently pursued the same targets. Despite their frequent clashes and different philosophies, Ice respected Destiny and often tried to convince her to switch allegiance to Checkmate, especially when she discovered that Destiny's mother Nicole Alston had been a Checkmate agent.
On a mission in Moscow, Ice and Destiny each tried to steal a mask from a Russian oligarch containing a communication link direct to notorious assassin La Agente Funebre. As they fought over the mask, the oligarch's guards forced them off a roof. Destiny saved Ice from falling to her death and Ice told her that she owed her a debt; but then punched her out and stole the mask.
Ice managed to avoid being killed or drafted into Leviathan following Event Leviathan. Months later she learned that an assassin known as Revenant had accepted a contract to kill Dick Grayson and Destiny, who was now living in Bludhaven under the name "Bea Bennett". Ice went to Bludhaven to warn Bea and helped her defeat Revenant, who turned out to be Bea's former mentor Carmen Navarro. Ice then left, telling Bea that they were even.
