Synopsis for "The Sidekick Swap"
Max takes Impulse to Blue Valley to learn something about the legacy of Kid Flash. They meet Star-Spangled Kid and S.T.R.I.P.E., the latter has not seen Max since their Freedom Fighters days. Both Pat and Max want to teach the youngsters, but it is Max teaming up with Courtney while Bart stay in Blue Valley with S.T.R.I.P.E. Bart starts by accidentally destroying Blue Valley's famous Kid Flash billboard.
Max takes Courtney to the JSA Headquarters where only an injured Wildcat is present. Ted tells them about a ghost sighting at the Silversmith Gentlemen's Club and Max decides to take that assignment. As a woman, Courtney usually would not be allowed to enter the club. But she is nearly as impulsive as Bart and just kicks the door in. Quickly the heroes are confronted with the Gentleman Ghost. During the fight Max gets exhausted rapidly - his health seems to worsen every day. Star-Spangled Kid finally figures out that her energy-based shooting stars can hurt the Gentleman Ghost who then decides to flee.
Meanwhile, in Blue Valley, Pat took Impulse to his garage. Bart is annoying as always and then spills some paint, accidentally recreating the villain named Paintball. It takes a while for Impulse and S.T.R.I.P.E. to work together properly, but then they finally defeat Paintball using a paint thinner. After the fight, both Pat and Bart repair the Kid Flash billboard when Max and Courtney return. Both Max and Pat agree that they have their hands full with each of their proteges.
Running back home, Max realizes that he has trouble keeping up with Bart and that he needs to have another appointment with Dr. Morlo.
