The Flash arrives at Leachman's Rarities before everyone and Cyborg after arriving there through a Boom Tube gets amazed at it. As Zatanna joins them, Cyborg reveals he called the two because of their skills, after getting a call from the Batcave that Batman's been missing for a day. Zatanna states he must have gone undercover, but Cyborg states he'll never do it without telling his Batcave. She complies with his request to find Batman with magic, but isn't able to find any sign of him in the whole universe. Flash states he must be disguised well, but she explains that she should have been able to find him. Flash then searches the city block around Leachman's Rarities, since it was the last place he was seen, but fails to find him.

Cyborg decides to check the energy signature in the place and after finding one, believes it might be something similar to a Boom Tube, which means somebody opened a portal to another dimension at the place. Replicating the energy he detected, Cyborg opens a poral which leads into the Bleed, the space connecting all dimensions. Zatanna casts another spell to find Batman in whichever dimension he is, and a figure resembling him soon comes into view. As soon as it steps out however, they find he's a vampiric version of Batman. The three battle him and Flash attacks him with his super-speed, before getting smashed through the shop's window. This however allows Zatanna and Cyborg to drive the vampire back into the portal.

Zatanna detects the vampiric Batman wants their blood and Cyborg tries to close the portal before he can return, but Cyborg soon realizes it isn't made of Apokoliptian technology. The portal starts destabilizing and he tells his teammates to get back. The three however wind up in a strange place and Cyborg reveals that they were transported to another dimension as the portal collapsed. Flash takes a look around, but is unable to discover where they are, only getting dumbfounded by the strangeness of the place.

On Earth-19, Batman regrets not being able to save Harbinger and the Nightmare Robin soon comes up to chide him for letting her die. Batman recognizes that he is a variant of his own son Damian. Robin mocks him, asking if all Batmen disappoint people, and gets angered when he calls him Damian. The Arcane Green Lantern stops him before he cuts him down, as he believes him to be useless, and Batman takes a liking to him for being a true fighter. Batman states he should have protected Harbinger, but Lantern tells him to not blame himself, since the Two-Face of Earth-17 was a difficult foe. He then introduces himself to the vigilante as Sir Harold Jordan of from Earth-13 and Batman states that he trusts him, since his universe's Hal Jordan is his trusted teammate as well.

Lantern then introduces him to Catwoman of Earth-19, Wonder Woman of Earth-17 and Robin of Earth-43. Wonder Woman and Robin however are unimpressed, thinking him as nothing special, though Catwoman recognizes there's something special about him. As she flirts with him, he asks how they'll chase Two-Face. Wonder Woman barges in and states they'll go after him using Harbinger's orb, before questioning his manhood. As she grabs him by the neck and picks him up, Batman is unintimidated and commends her for being impressive, before telling her to put him down. Wonder Woman then agrees there is something special about him, and Selina states that Harbinger's last words were about Two-Face attacking her universe. She also reminds them that he also stole the Eternal Key.

As Batman asks them about the Eternal Key, Damian states that they need it, but gets informed it was just a rumor spread by their enemy. Batman tells them not to be dejected and asks them to think what to do next. He lashes out at Selina when she flirts again, before Robin states that they go after Two-Face regardless of his power. As the others agree, Selina uses Harbinger's orb to take them to Earth-48. They however land in an open desert and Batman realizes they're in the wrong place. Climbing a sand dune, he views a desolate city which he realizes where Two-Face must be. He and his allies are however soon hit by a powerful gust and struggle to stand. Hal builds a fort with his lantern, but it quickly crumbles, as Batman realizes Two-Face has started the destruction of Earth-48.

The Monitor questions Construct on whether Earth-48 was really destroyed and she affirms it. She adds that she detected an energy signature from use of an artifact more powerful than known to them. Upon being asked, she responds that she's unsure if it's deliberate and also states that the universe's destruction won't impact other universes. She tells him that nothing survived, but Nix tells her to search the Bleed anyway for the perpetrator of the destruction and any survivors. Earth-19's Green Lantern however is revealed to have saved himself and his allies by enveloping them in a shield, after using his lantern's power at a rate he never has before. As he regrets failing the Harbinger, he realizes his lantern's power is draining quickly.

Hal doubts himself as the shield cracks, before telling himself to concentrate and that Harbinger recruited him since he could face down the impossible. He remembers that the day he met her was while battling strange alien drones sent by their mutual enemy. As he battled them, they unleashed an attack more powerful than ever before. He however realizes that a universe's destruction is far more powerful, before telling himself to concentrate on the memories of the battle. After he had subdued the drones, Harbinger arrived and stated that the attackers were just the first wave. As he struggled to comprehend, she stated that all universes are in danger and played the Monitor's message, which he had recorded for all champions.

Despite concentrating on his memories, Hal's power soon exhausts. The Monitor however arrives in time to save them all and questions him about the Harbinger. As he replies that she was killed on Earth-19 by Two-Face of Earth-17, Nix gets struck with grief, but quickly calms himself. Learning that Two-Face stole the Eternal Key which has imbued him with great power, the Monitor tells Hal that he will prepare weapons which can take Two-Face down, but needs his champions to distract him until he is able to. Hal swears that they will hold the monster and assures his allies will recover, before being told he is on Earth-17. Meanwhile on his homeworld, Two-Face tells his followers that the Earth belongs to them now.
