For storyline of the same name, see Infinite Frontier.
The Infinite Frontier. more commonly known as the "Omniverse", is a little-scaled omniverse, or more properly a megaverse, which includes all the iterations of the DC Multiverse as well as an unknown number of alternate multiverses, including the Dark Multiverse and the Wildstorm Multiverse. It is also the Space half of the Divine Continuum, which, in turn, is a small part of the Greater Omniverse.
History
Origin
At the climax of the last Metal War, Wonder Woman rescued The Hands of the Greater Omniverse from the Darkest Knight before the Cosmic Judgment of the Multiverse. The Hands then rewarded Diana for her selfless act by restoring the entire Multiverse, along with its past iterations and a countless number of multiverses, merging them into a smaller omniverse, later known as Infinite Frontier.[1]
For his nature, the Infinite Frontier has been commonly referred to as the "Omniverse" and its existence has become public knowledge in the reborn Multiverse.[2]
The creation of the Infinite Frontier awakened the primordial Great Darkness, which had lain dormant since the First Crisis. Its power was soon exploited by the villainous Pariah, who assembled the Dark Army, which helped him defeat the Justice League of Earth 0 and the Justice League Incarnate, and started a Crisis of his own.
During the so-called Dark Crisis, the Great Darkness-powered Pariah amassed enough cosmic power to generate an unstable Multiverse— composed of restored iterations of the Pre-Crisis realities— within the Infinite Frontier. However, the Justice League escaped the pocked dimensions, where Pariah had previously banished them into, and stopped him from destroying all the realities by stabilizing the reborn Pre-Crisis worlds and merging them into the current Multiverse.[3]
Days after the Dark Crisis, Mister Terrific/Michael Holt revealed the truth about the Infinite Frontier to the public. Moments later, Dr. Bonnie Baxter of the Time Masters actually explained the whole structure of the Divine Continuum and clarified the relation between the "Omniverse" and Hypertime.[4]
Dawn of DC
Death and Rebirth
Years after the Dark Crisis, the metahuman Drummer— a survivor of the Wildstorm Multiverse— hatched a plan to bring back her former Planetary teammates, who had been previously erased by the Flashpoint.
Upon discovering the Cosmic Library, located outside the Infinite Frontier, Drummer concluded she would have to destroy Creation itself. To that end, she assembled her own version of Planetary— the Outsiders— to secure tho components for her masterplan: a mystical cannon capable of reaching beyond the "Omniverse", and a mystical bullet forged from the dark energy of the being known as the "End".
After tricking the Outsiders into leaving their interdimensional vessel, Drummer activated the cannon and fired the End, erasing the Infinite Frontier.[5] However, as a consequence of the Divine Continuum being a two-sided abstraction, counterparts of Outsiders were still existing within Hypertime: they eventually traveled back in time to the moment before Drummer activate the doomsday weapon, persuaded her that there was another way to rescue her friends, and thus averted the destruction of the "Omniverse".[6]

Notes
- The Infinite Frontier is simply called "Omniverse" in most of its appearances. However, it should not be confused with the Greater Omniverse, which is actually the totality of Existence both inside and outside DC Comics.
- The Divine Continuum should be technically referred to as "Omniverse" due to being the union between the two fundamental aspects of Creation: the Infinite Frontier (Space) and Hypertime (Time).
- Despite being introduced in the epilogue of Dark Nights: Death Metal, the Infinite Frontier is first featured in the storyline of the same name and its follow-ups, Justice League Incarnate (Volume 1) and the Dark Crisis event.
- According to Dr. Bonnie Baxter, the "Omniverse" is conceptual at its core.[4]
- The first Multiverse was not restored within the Infinite Frontier, probably because of its twisted nature.[9]
- It has never been confirmed whether the obscure Last 52 Multiverse, which was created by the Darkest Knight during the last Metal War, was also restored inside the Infinite Frontier, as happened with the Dark Multiverse.
- Lex Luthor explained that during his time with the Totality, he discovered the truths of the Multiverse and came to the conclusion that the idea of the Omniverse was false.[10] However, the revelation about the Divine Continuum confirmed its existence.[4]
