Synopsis for "Beyond Kahndaq"

In Khandaq, Kara Zor-El is learning how to fly, mentored by Black Adam, but she hasn't gotten the hang of it yet. Her lesson is interrupted when an emissary requests an audience with Black Adam. Adam tells Kara to stay hidden during the meeting.

The emissary is Damian Wayne. Nightwing warns Black Adam that an imminent war is about to threaten all life in the planet and asks his assistance. Black Adam notices his broken arm and deduces correctly Batman is the cause of his injuries. Adam is reluctant to leave his city and people, but he is willing to discuss the subject further, after Damian is fully rested.

Kara has eavesdropped the conversation and knows Damian noticed her presence. She believes Adam should listen to Nightwing: she watched her world die and doesn't want the same thing to happen to her new home. She also wonders what kind of person is Batman to fight, hurt and imprison not only his friend but also his own son. Black Adam orders her for her own good to stay hidden until Nighting is gone.

Damian slips into her chambers to talk to Kara and find out who she is. He's found by Black Adam who threatens drop him off a tower if Damian doesn't stop making questions. Kara takes off to catch Damian, who realizes she is Kryptonian.

Damian and Kara are confined to their rooms. At night, Damian sneaks out easily to meet Kara. Damian talks her into putting a mask on and seeing the world beyond Kahndaq.

Kara flies Damian around. Then Damian shows her a country torn apart by a civil war. Both teenagers save innocent people from getting gunned down and fly back to Kahndaq before the sunrise.

Damian asks Kara if she liked using her powers to save lives. He misses that. His grandfather is going to kill millions to save the world. Damian felt he was working for peace when he fought for Superman, even if sometimes he thought they were going too far. Now he sees himself as soldier following orders. Kara believes him to be a good person, even if Damian disagrees.

Black Adam shows up to tell they are going to infiltrate Themyscira and attempt to free Wonder Woman.
