Because of her expertise, she was kidnapped by Prysm, an agent of King Kobra, who wanted to use her skills in restoring his technology in order to take advantage of Earth. She was then saved by The Batman, who believed Dr. Ardeen to be a reincarnation of his deceased wife Lady Tasmia.
