Irwin Donenfeld (b. March 1, 1926 – d.November 29, 2004) was one of the owners of DC Comics in the fifties and sixties.
Professional History
Irwin Donenfeld co-owned DC Comics from 1948-1967, taking the role of Editorial Director from 1952-1957, and then Executive Vice-President from 1958-1968. He is credited with selecting editor Julius Schwartz to revamp The Flash, which ushered in the Silver Age of Comics.
Personal History
Irwin Donenfeld was the son of Harry Donenfeld, who cofounded DC Comics.
