Irwin Hasen (b. July 8, 1918 – d.March 13, 2015) was a writer.
Professional History
Hasen worked for various comic companies during the Golden Age of comics, including DC, Marvel, Centaur, Archie and Holyoke.[1]
He co-created Wildcat with Bill Finger in Sensation Comics #1, January 1942.
Hasen, an active member of the National Cartoonists Society, met Gus Edson while on a tour of Germany and together they created the Dondi comic strip in 1954, with Edson writing and Hasen drawing.[2]
Hasen died at age 96 on March 13, 2015. He was reportedly DC's last surviving artist from the years of World War II.[3]
