Izaya (Gods and Monsters)

Highfather is the leader of New Genesis, a planet of benevolent New Gods in opposition to the malevolent New Gods of Apokolips, led by the despotic Darkseid. In actuality, Highfather is just as treacherous and cruel as Darkseid.

History

Ostensibly to build peace after millennia of war, Highfather agreed to marry his granddaughter Bekka to Darkseid's son Orion. However, the wedding was a trap for Darkseid's forces, and the gods of New Genesis slaughtered their opposition. Highfather personally killed Darkseid, then Orion when the latter tried to intervene.^[1]
