J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, was a longtime member of the Justice League of America in both its "Super Friends" and "Super Powers Team" iterations.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Super Friends and its tie-in comic book series: Super Friends (Volume 1), Super Powers (Volume 1), Super Powers (Volume 2) and Super Powers (Volume 3). It is an adaptation of Martian Manhunter. The original character was created by Joseph Samachson and Joe Certa and first appeared in Detective Comics #225.
- The Martian Manhunter never appeared in any incarnation of the Super Friends TV series, only in the comic book tie-ins.
- In his first appearance, Limited Collectors' Edition #C-41 (1976), J'onn J'onzz only appeared in the form of a statue representing him in the Justice League headquarters. His first actual appearance was Super Powers Collection #14 (1984).
