Synopsis for "Damage"

Judomaster does a eulogy during Damage's funeral. Members of the Teen Titans who knew Damage as well as the entire JSA paid their respects to a fallen comrade. Cyclone tries to reach out to Sonia in her time of grief but Sonia asks to be left alone. Roxy appears before Sonia and tells her that she got a hit on a few known associates that work for Tiger, the man responsible for murdering her father. As Judomaster, Sonia takes down Tiger's associates while venting her anger. Sonia has always felt alone until she met Damage. Sonia felt that her relationship with Damage could give her a new lease on life but now with him dead, Sonia regrettably feels relieved that her life is simple again. No attachments to hold her back from getting achieving her revenge.

One of Tiger's associates reveals his location and Sonia prepares for her eventual date with destiny. Sonia also feels awkward about her metahuman ability to outmatch any combatant she comes across. Her father's scientists that examined her said that she must emit an aversion field while Shinto priests believe she is the embodiment of the wind deity Kami. Sonia's simplest explanation is that she refuses to let anyone defeat her. Sandy approaches Sonia during her training and gives her a zip drive that Damage asked Sandy to give to Sonia if anything should happen to him. Sandy had a dream that foretold Damage's death and he warned Damage not to engage the Black Lanterns.

Sandy figures that Damage refused to let his predestined fate rule him with fear. Sandy hands Sonia the zip drive and gives her some time to herself. Sonia inserts the zip drive into the JSA computer and a hologram of Damage appears before her. Damage expresses how much he loved Sonia and how she was the only one who really understood him better than most. Everything changed for Damage after he reset the Big Bang with the Spectre and saved the universe. The ordeal took a toll on Damage and he began to feel violent an confused. His lashing out caused ten square blocks to be destroyed and a lot of people that he had hurt are still in the hospital.

Damage goes onto say that after Zoom messed up his face, Damage figured it wasn't worth feeling anything or letting anyone in until he met Sonia. Damage's original attitude was to save the universe and not to let the universe destroy him but Sonia's love for him changed all that. Sonia began to cry and ended the transmission when she could no longer hear anymore. Later that night, Sonia heads to a sniper position where she will have a clean shot of Tiger. Sonia sees Tiger leaving an adjacent building with a briefcase through her scope. King Chimera appears before Sonia could take aim. Sonia tells Chimera to not stand in the way of her avenging her father. Chimera expresses that he has no intention deterring Sonia from her goal but he wanted her to see the rest of Damage's farewell.

Damage tells Sonia that Dr. Mid-Nite can perform a procedure which will surgically correct his facial scars. Damage never had a reason to correct the scarring until Sonia came into his life. Sonia's love gave Damage the encouragement to fix his scars because he no longer wanted to hide behind a mask with her anymore. Damage finishes his message by saying that if he should die then Sonia shouldn't let his death be an excuse to give up or become isolated. Sonia weeps for a moment then thanks Chimera for showing her the rest of the message. Chimera and Sonia decide to take down Tiger without killing him.

After pummeling Tiger, Sonia left him to the police and she took his briefcase which gained his fee for his next assassination assignment. Sonia took the money to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Most of the people that Damage had accidentally hurt within a ten block radius had outstanding medical bills. Sonia uses Tiger's blood money to wipe away any debt that the patients had and asks that the gratitude for this donation be publicly made to honor Grant Emerson.

On the other side of the hospital, Arthur Pemberton stands by his daughter's bedside and talks to Dr. Achilles Milo. Pemberton brought his daughter to this hospital because they had the best facility for coma patients. Milo tries to explain that his unorthodox methods could revive his daughter but there maybe unsavory results. Arthur has been wracked with guilt for almost killing his daughter to suit his own ends but seeing her in a comatose state has made him a changed man. Milo's diagnosis points out that Lorna suffered a hemorrhage which caused significant damage to the frontal and parietal lobes. Milo can save Lorna as long as Pemberton accepts the risks and compensates him for his efforts. Arthur Pemberton assures Milo that he will be taken care of and it will be the JSA who feels the bite.

Synopsis for "The Inheritance, Part Six: Paris, City of Fights!"

According to the cleric's diary, the team must go to the crypts beneath Notre Dame to locate the second key to obtaining the Tachophixyl. The key was placed in the crypts during the construction of Paris' sewer system. The team discovers markings on one corner of the church that portrays the life of Turga the Vile, an 11th-century warlord who used the rod of Asclepius to conquer Europe. After Turga's senseless assaults on the European churches, a collective of priests banded together in the belief that Turga's staff was carved from the forbidden tree that Adam & Eve had eaten from in the Garden of Eden. They viewed Turga as the devil himself and stole the staff then slew Turga while driving his armies out of Europe.

Everyone had their suspicions about why the priests took Turga's rod of Asclepius. Tigress wonders why the priests would hide a holy relic but leave clues for other people to find it. Jesse thinks the elaborate clues were meant to deter those who weren't worthy to find the staff and use its power. Icicle writes it all off as the church instilling their dominion over everyone else by using the staff. Jesse finds a stone effigy of a king that matches the description from Santa Isabel. Tigress senses that they are being watched and notices Blue in the shadows. Jesse tells the others to apprehend Blue while she figures out the second key.

Hourman and the villains chase Blue to an underground metro station. Tigress lunges at Blue but he transforms into a blue mist and escapes. Hourman rescues Tigress in a few split seconds before a passing L-Train zooms by. For a moment, Icicle thought he lost Tigress but then he notices Hourman helping Tigress up on the other side of the tracks. As for Jesse, she closes the eyes of the effigy king and a stone wall turns in front of her. The wall reveals the story of St. Urfeldt who hid the staff after Turga's defeat. St. Urfeldt chose a life of seclusion by living as a hermit in the Alps. The cave where St. Urfeldt resided is on the southern face of the Alps located in Davos. When the trio reconvenes with Jesse, she points that a stone figurine of St. Urfeldt must be taken to the cave where the priest lived as a hermit thereby revealing the location of the Tachophixyl.

Tigress takes the stone figurine and tells Icicle to freeze Jesse at her feet. Tigress and Icicle intend to collect their fee for recovering the Tachophixyl. However, Tigress fails to realize that by taking the stone figurine, she activated a trapdoor beneath Icicle and Jesse's feet. Both Icicle and Jesse fall into a pit. accidentally trips a trap that was designed by the priests. Both Jesse and Icicle fall into a pit then a stone slab falls on top of them. Fortunately, Icicle generated an ice pillar to counter the stone slab's impact thereby preventing it from crushing them. The ice pillar begins to crack from the overwhelming weight. Tigress pleads with Hourman to use his Miraclo drug to lift the slab but Rick only agrees to help if Tigress hands over the stone figurine.

On the other side of Paris, Boris Hayes and Peter Blue have an argument. Boris asks Blue if anyone saw his capability of transforming from solid to vapor. Blue tells his father not to be concerned but Boris expresses that neither of them can afford to provoke either party nor can Boris maintain a public face for much longer. Both parties are aware that the Tachophixyl can amplify the strongest impulses in its wielder. Boris tells Blue to refrain from antagonizing either party because he may need to step in to reaffirm their good intentions. Peter barges out of the room with contempt for his father while showing his lack of patience toward his father's game of cat and mouse.
