Synopsis for "The JSA Returns, Part Two: Cold Heart"
In 1945 outside the Livadiya Palace U.S. soldier Tom Connerly guards the meeting of the "big three" who are discussing the Germany war effort and what to do with the spoils of war. Connerly greets Charlie Weller, a U.K. soldier, briefly when Green Lantern (Alan Scott) and Johnny Thunder land nearby. With urgency, Lantern demands to see the people in charge and Connerly rushes them to the leaders.
Inside, Lantern explains the Spear of Destiny's influence is shrinking and a new threat has emerged in Stalker's Disciples. A sudden snow storm interrupts their conversation as the Ice Storm Disciple breaks in through the window with a winter gust. Urging Johnny to keep back because of his mortal weaknesses, Green Lantern and Yz attack the disciple.
Weller is harmed in the battle and begins bleeding out as the disciple heads towards the cellar where the big three are being held. Johnny stays with Weller to comfort him in his final minutes as Weller requests that he say goodbye to his wife and child for him.
In the cellar, the disciple throws an icicle at Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but Johnny intercepts it and jumps in the way taking the hit for the president. Lantern and Yz subdue the disciple.
Yz admits it was pretty heroic what Johnny did and Lantern tells him the genie isn't the only reason why he's a member of the Justice Society of America.
Doctor Occult appears and tells them they have urgent matters to attend to as they leave the cellar through Occult's portal.
Later, Connerly hands his poetic write-up of the events that occurred to his commanding officer who immediately burns it with his cigar. He informs Connerly that some stories cannot be told.
