Synopsis for "Princes of Darkness, Coda: Justice Eternity"

Mordru recovers from the shock of Doctor Fate's arrival to counter-attack, but he is swiftly subdued by a mob consisting of the Justice Society, the Justice Society reserves, and the Freedom Fighters. They manage to get him on the ropes, but he is quick to fight back, forcing Doctor Fate to drag Mordru into the timestream.

Doctor Fate points out that the example of the Justice Society has been so great that it has become something Mordru cannot fight. In the 31st century, their legacy has inspired the Legion of Super-Heroes. By contrast, Mordru is a doddering fool in ten centuries' time. But even this is not his ignominious end - he will be imprisoned within the Rock of Eternity until the end of time. Demonstrating, Doctor Fate takes him to the present-day Rock of Eternity and melds him into it. His power is now under the purview of the Wizard Shazam, and he will be powerless for 1000 years. Watching, Nabu admits that Hector has finally surprised him.

Teleporting back to Earth, Doctor Fate and the other heroes celebrate their victory.

But in the Himalayas, Kobra is brooding. He had been sure that this was the end of the world, and had planned accordingly. As he broods, the power to the base cuts out. Going to find the problem, Kobra is shocked to find everyone else in the base is dead. Atom Smasher grabs him, pointing out the he tried to escape justice, and for this he will be punished. Kobra points out that the Justice Society have always stood for law... but Atom-Smasher and his fellow Infinitors are not the Justice Society. In a last ditch defense, Kobra tells them his heart is connected to an incendiary which will destroy New York.

But Brainwave uses his telepathy to discover the truth—there is no bomb.

Black Adam kills him, and the group walks away.
