Synopsis for "Be Good for Goodness' Sake"
The Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, and Wildcat fly across the Christmas Eve sky headed on a task in Londonderry, New Hampshire, sipping eggnog and joking. Near their destination, Santa Claus helps a family whose car has broken down in the snow, making him late to a shift of waiting children at Dugan's department store. Once St. Nick arrives, a group of robbers hits up the mall and Santa stands in their way. The JSAers also show up moments later and make short work of the thugs. In the scuffle, it's revealed that Santa is actually JSA ally Ma Hunkel, the original Red Tornado. She hosts the fellow 1940s heroes to Christmas dinner. They reminisce and discuss plans for Christmas Day and the heroes invite Ma to come to the JSA Museum to be their curator.
At the Museum, she tends to the needs of several of her friends—helping Stargirl find the Cosmic Converter Belt, asking about Doctor Mid-Nite's cold, and making tea for Power Girl after a long day.
