Synopsis for "Out of Time, Part 1"

In the war against Black Reign, Hourman is fatally wounded by Nemesis; before he dies, he activates a teleporter to the Timepoint to switch places with his father Rex on Earth.[1] When the elder hero exits, time-traveling fascist Per Degaton arrives.

Today, Rex Tyler meets with his widow Wendi for the first time since returning five weeks ago. Their reunion is interrupted by the android Hourman from the 853rd Century and Rex leaves with him.

Meanwhile, the JSA fight Solomon Grundy and see the two Hourmen appear in the sky above them just as Sand incapacitates the monster. Doctor Mid-Nite, The Flash, and Mister Terrific leave on Hourman's Timeship to go save Ricky Tyler's life. They find him near death but operate quickly and save his life before the last few seconds of the Timepoint's existence end and the original Hourman is fated to return to his rightful sport in the Timestream, where he will die. As Timepoint collapses, Rick dives into the portal leading back to the proper timeline to take his father's place.
