Synopsis for "Shadowland"

Doctor Mid-Nite nurses Black Canary's wounds. When they are pursued by more shadow figures, Dr. Mid-Nite uses a UV gun which causes the figures to vanish. When Canary asks how her teammates are faring, Mid-Nite checks in with Hooty who has a camera on the rest of the JSA members to view they are safe.

Obsidian continues to torture the captured JSA members with their worst memories as they are trapped in their shadow figures. Ian Karkull appears and returns the weakened Sentinel and Jim Rice from the Shadowlands. When Obsidian moves to execute Sentinel, Hooty distracts him by flying in the way.

Suddenly, Dr. Mid-Nite and Black Canary break through the windows to save their teammates. During the scuffle, Atom-Smasher corners Obsidian but is unable to finish him off.

As Obsidian gloats of his victory, Karkull claims to have been in control of him the whole time. He attempts to betray him by attacking him from behind. Obsidian is intangible to Karkull's attack and explodes. Obsidian reveals he was in control the whole time. Obsidian expands the Shadowlands to cover the world.

Black Canary looks to Dr. Mid-Nite for what to do next, and he says they should pray.
