Wildcat II finds the dead body of a Checkmate agent in JSA HQ. Doctor Mid-Nite finds traces of soil from Opal City with energy signature of stellar radiation. During an attack in Opal, more acolytes suffer magical death. Mister Terrific confronts Kobra (who exhibits metahuman abilities) in the Starman museum. Kobra drives a sword through his shoulder and departs through an Erdel teleportational gate.
