Jack Frost (New Earth)

In 1943, Mary Marvel visited Rainbow City, a mystical city that exists on the top of the rainbow, and is supposedly where all colors on Earth come from. While there she met Jack Frost, who was mixing colors for when he changes leaves in the autumn. After this adventure, Mary Marvel was unsure if it really happened or was a dream.^[1]

In 1949, a super-villain with similarly colorful powers adopted the name Jack Frost.^[2]

Earth-Two

In Gotham City, the Folklore Society was a club of people who dressed as legendary characters. In 1949, their president was Fred Markle, who portrayed Jack Frost.^[3]

Earth-One

When a lightning bolt hit a prism in a nuclear waste dump, this somehow caused the prism to be connected to a nearby radio broadcast tower, and when Jimmy Olsen mentioned several legendary figures on the radio, the prism brought them to life. This included Jack Frost, who roamed Metropolis freezing things and causing havoc until Superman stopped him. Later, Frost teamed with the other legends to stop Superman and preserve their existence, but despite their efforts Superman (with Olsen's help) found and destroyed the prism, which caused them to disappear.^[4]

In the pre-Crisis Multiverse, Earth-S^[1] and Earth-One^[4] each had a separate and distinct Jack Frost, and an Earth-Two Jack Frost was mentioned but never seen.^[5]^[3] On the post-Crisis New Earth, those three Jack Frosts were combined into one being.
The New Earth Jack Frost has not been seen, but he has been mentioned.^{[citation needed]}
