Synopsis for "Godhood's End"

The Forever People, trying to tranquilize a panicked mob on Earth, join their power with the Mother Box, turning themselves into figures of pure light that seem to soothe and fill the crowd with hope. However, their connection with the Source breaks when they feel the Source Wall cracking open.

Closer to the Source Wall, Highfather gathers the gods Zeus, Jove, and Odin in a desperate attempt to save the Source. Ares also joins the group, much to everyone's contempt. The five gods join forces with Highfather's Wonder Staff, merging into one powerful god. With the help of Metron's Mobius Chair, the fusion of gods get inside the Source Wall. One by one, the gods separate from the fusion, giving them a boost forward. Eventually, only Highfather and Ares remain, and the God of War shows his true colors and betrays the New God, piercing his dark sword through Izaya's chest and claiming the Source for himself.

On Earth, the Genesisians sense the death of a fellow New God, but they don't know who. Only Takion senses Highfather is no more, but Arzaz urges him not to tell anyone that their last hope is dead.
