The Jackal is a murderous vigilante.
History
The Jackal was a vigilante who attacked gun runners and other criminals in the Mid-West. A passing Superman came across the scene of one of his attacks and vowed to track him down. With help from Lois Lane and Robin Superman tracked the Jackal to Calvin City Pennsylvania, and stopped him from killing arsonists.[1] The Jackal was imprisoned.
Breaking out of prison months later, the Jackal headed for Metroplis to murder Mikhail Kamerazic, a Vlatavan gun runner. He was again stopped by Superman, and taken away by the police.[2]
