Col. Jacob Kane was a former soldier of the United States Army and CEO of Kane Industries. He is married to Catherine Cane, the new Commissioner of the GCPD. He also serves the Court of Owls, as "The Voice of the Court". He is well aware of his nephew's identity as Batman, as well as the other identities of his allies. He also was friends with Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne Family's butler.
History
Upon discovery of his affiliation with the Court of Owls however, the Knights looked to prosecute him, since they had evidence to prove his involvement in the death of Dr. Kirk Langstrom and his assistant. They obtained an arrest warrant from Det. Renee Montoya and signed by judge Elena Moreno. With the warrant and the resources to deal a crippling blow to Kane, they infiltrated Kane Industries' headquarters and arrested him. He was escorted out of his building by Montoya and scolded by his wife, for his involvement in murder. Before Kane could enter a courtroom however, Talia al Ghul, the daughter of the late Ra's al Ghul, killed him with an arrow to the chest.
