Jimmy Martin is Tick-Tock, sidekick to Hourman.
History
Jimmy Martin was a member of Hourman's Minute Men of America who donned a costume and took up the name "Tick-Tock" to stand out from his peers.[1]
Tick-Tock went missing in 1942 while tracking a missing shipment of Miraclo.[2] He was the first of many teen heroes abducted from the timestream and held on Orphan Island by the Childminder.[1]
When Tick-Tock and his friends fought their way off the island and escaped to the modern world, they stayed together to form the Young Justice Society,[3] while the senior Justice Society sought out new homes for the time-lost children.[4]
Notes
- Jimmy Martin was created by Bernard Baily, first appearing in Adventure Comics #53. However, Jimmy Martin first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Stargirl: The Lost Children #1 by Geoff Johns and Todd Nauck.
Trivia
- Although the original Jimmy Martin never adopted the "Tick-Tock" costumed identity or went missing, he did wear costumes modeled on Hourman's in Adventure Comics #71 and Adventure Comics #73, and was written out of Hourman's series in Adventure Comics #74.
