Jane Whitecrest (nee Stepford) was a student at Gather House where she first met Violet Paige.
History
The two bonded and became romantic together during their confinement. Jane was assigned the codename "Twelve" and experimented on, giving her cybernetic parts in her brain that controlled her mood. While the two attempted to escape from the house one night, Stepford's robotics were activated, causing her to betray Paige and result in her being experimented on as well.
Years later, after Violet had destroyed Gather House, Jane would marry the businessman Wilson Whitecrest and continue to live in Gotham, her implants stopping her from remembering most of her experience at Gather House. After reconnecting with Violet, Jane was reminded of her time there. However, again, her implants were activated by a Gather House associate named Gala, who forced Jane to betray her friend and her husband in order to get information out of them. In her brainwashed state, Jane killed her husband and fought Violet until Violet was forced to kill her in self defense.

- Cybernetic Enhancement: Jane was implanted with cybernetic parts inside her head during her stay at Gather House, making her steadfastly obedient to her controllers when they're activated.

- Mental Disorder: The robotic parts that were put in her head make Jane mentally unstable. She'll no longer be herself when they're activated, forcing her mood to instantly switch.
