Janet Drake is the deceased wife of Jack Drake and mother of Tim Drake.
History
Notes
- Janet Drake was created by Marv Wolfman and Pat Broderick, first appearing in Batman #436. However, Janet Drake first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Teen Titans (Volume 4) #0 by Scott Lobdell and Tyler Kirkham.
- In early New 52 issues, such as Teen Titans (Volume 4) #0, Jack and Janet are portrayed as alive and in witness protection while Tim is placed in Bruce Wayne's care. However, as part of the DC Rebirth storyline, Tim Drake's history has been revised to resemble his New Earth counterpart. As such, his parents are now depicted as deceased.
