Miss X src

In the early 1940s, Miss X secretly assisted investigator "Tex" Thomson in dismantling the rackets of Brooklyn.

Starting in 1940, District Attorney Maloney's daughter, Janice "Peggy" Maloney, had a secret vigilante career as "Miss X," in which she often greatly assisted Tex Thomson, Bob Daley, and their boss (her father), the D.A. Then again, one time, she shot Tex in the head.[1]
