Jason Todd was a former Robin, trained under Batman, before becoming the Red Hood.

History

Todd first met Batman when he tried to steal from the Batmobile. The Dark Knight then recruited him into his war on crime, turning him into the second "Robin." His career as a sidekick was cut short when he was murdered by The Joker. Jason was eventually resurrected by the Lazarus Pit and decided to use his new lease on life to become the vengeful vigilante, "Red Hood."
