He was summoned to Batman's side by the Phantom Stranger as his mentor laid dying, with only a group of Robins from the future who can save him.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Batman: The Brave and the Bold and is an adaptation of Jason Todd. The original character was created by Gerry Conway and Don Newton and first appeared in Batman #357.
