Synopsis for "Memories"

In 1941, the Justice Society investigate a mysterious secret lab in Germany, filled with tanks containing dead bodies. The Flash speed-reads stacks of research files and determines that the lab and dead men are part of a super-soldier project. Doctor Elemental, the scientist running the project, appears and the JSA charge at him, but he easily fends them off with his control over the elements. He declares himself to be unstoppable, when suddenly the Boom runs out of a portal and punches him out. The JSA are confused, particularly when she calls the Flash "Dad", and he tells them that she is his daughter from the future.

Doctor Elemental decides to flee and sets off the lab's self-destruct. He runs to a rocket ship with the Flash and the Boom chasing after him; managing to get in and blast off just before they catch him. As he flies away, he thinks to himself that the Boom may be what he's been waiting for. The Flash creates a vortex to shoot the Boom into the air after the rocket, and she lands on the nose. She vibrates to match the resonant frequency on the windshield and breaks through, destroying the rocket's controls. Doctor Elemental cuts her to collect a blood sample and ejects out of the rocket, leaving the Boom to fall to Earth. The Flash leaps up to catch her, and she thanks him for always being there for her.

In the present day, Jay and Judy argue at superspeed about him following her to the mall while Stargirl and Mister Terrific watch them, unable to follow the conversation. They slow down to normal speed and Jay apologises. He tells Judy he's worried because his memories of first meeting Ro-Bear and Doctor Elemental in World War II have just come back, and he didn't even realise they existed until that day. Mister Terrific explains that he's experiencing memory realignment, as his memories adjust to changes in the timeline; normally speedsters are immune, but whatever removed Judy from history somehow affected him. The fact he also forgot Doctor Elemental suggests that he and his interactions with Jay were so inextricably linked to Judy that memories of her being erased removed memories of Doctor Elemental as well. Judy points out that Doctor Elemental has had over fifty years to plan his next move, and Stargirl realises that he must be after Judy if he's decided to reveal himself now.

Judy tells them that she saw his face back in 1963 just before she was taken, but she can't remember what he looked like. Mister Terrific says that "the boys" might be able to help with that and takes them to Terrifictech. On the way, Judy complains to Stargirl that Jay doesn't seem to trust her, but Stargirl tells her that he's just afraid of losing her again. Mister Terrific takes them into "Lab X", which turns out to be a clubhouse for Judy's fellow time-displaced sidekick Quiz Kid and Mister Terrific's long-lost son Jeffrey, aka Fairplay. The two boy geniuses have become best friends and have spent their time since returning to the world researching and inventing. Their latest creation, a memory imager, will allow them to pull the memory of Doctor Elemental's face from Judy's memory and display it on screen. They successfully bring up Doctor Elemental's face and Jay recognises him as Professor Hughes, the man responsible for him becoming the Flash.
